Stop XCode IDE expropriating alternate MacOS Desktops

On MBP with XCode on Desktop 1, swiping to Desktop 2 shows the same XCode IDE overlayed on top. I want to XCode stay only on Desktop 1 and not appear on Desktop 2. How to fix?

I probably miss something. If you want it to stay on desktop 1, why swiping to Desktop 2 ?

Not enough screen real estate. I work off a laptop and optionally sidecar an iPad. Desktop 1 for code, Desktop 2 for Browser, Email, etc.
