Reality Composer seems stuck at version 1.5, when can we expect the next major update? An update I need is an Object Navigation tree for all scene objects to quickly choose group or individual objects for change. this is typical on 3D modeling tools and is strangely missing from RC.

Hi, we don't discuss our future update plans. Reality Composer does not currently have a hierarchy tree editor like you described. I would encourage you to file a feature request in Feedback Assistant.

Isn't that part of WWDC to discuss current and upcoming updates? I have to agree with Mike Nunez that very little has been done in two years, which makes me believe that Apple is moving away from the 'Reality' file format in favor of keeping developers locked into the app platform.
I was thinking about this the other day on how powerful Reality Composer could become negating an app for the App Store approach. But of course, this would be a problem since gate keepers would not be able to control AR apps built in this fashion or sign on developers at $99 a year. This is sad because it has a number of visual tools that make it easy to create simple interactive AR apps without requiring any program skills. It is also interesting that it is still buried inside of Xcode instead of standalone app like 'Reality Converter'. I guess I shouldn't complain too much since Google completely abandoned their VR platform 'Daydream', but it is really a step backwards in democratizing AR for the masses.

By 'future update plans', I mean anything beyond what we have already announced at WWDC. We have no announcements regarding Reality Composer this year, which I understand is frustrating. However, I can take your feedback about RC and share it internally. We do keep track of developer feedback, so if you have any more feedback please share in Feedback Assistant or post it here.
Last update was about a year ago with RC 1.5. If there are no additional updates is RC feature complete or is Apple staffing and advancing the product?

Unfortunately we can't comment on the future of RC. At this time, RC is our suggested content creation tool for AR experiences on iOS. Any updates or changes to RC will be communicated on developer.apple.com.
