iOS App is “In Review” state for more than two weeks

My iOS app is in "In Review" state for more than 2 weeks, i had tried rejecting and resubmitting. But whenever i submit the app after rejecting it, it remains in "In Review" state and apple doesn't accept or reject it. I have not faced this issue before, all my apps were reviewed and accepted within 1-2 days.

Previously I had added Auto Renewable subscriptions that were accepted and i had submitted 3-4 versions as well after this subscription. But now everytime i submit new version app goes into "In Review" and it stays there forever.

I have contacted their support team but they are always giving the automated message and doesn't do anything:

As per the information you provided and in reviewing your app’s records, I can confirm your app is currently in review.
Therefore, you do not need to do anything at this time as the review team is working towards the review of your app. If we require any additional information, we will notify you directly.
Also, when your app’s review is complete, you will be notified by email.

As per their review guidelines:(https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/)

On average, 50% of apps are reviewed in 24 hours and over 90% are reviewed in 48 hours.

Has anyone faced this issue?

I noticed that rejecting one's app is a risky action.

In a case, that blocked my submission for a long time.
I had to resubmit the version I had rejected to complete its cycle and then submit a new version.

Here are some feedback I got from support:

Your app can take up to 24 hours to be processed for the App Store.
Then, you rejected your app on 'date'. After you resubmit, your review time will start again.
We realize that there are circumstances which make it necessary to reject and resubmit your binary. Because this affects the total review time for your app, we recommend that you do this only when absolutely necessary. We also suggest that you conduct a thorough QA cycle before submitting your app.
Now, you need to resubmit your app, with the same or different build, but you cannot skip a version and create a new one without finishing the cycle of the version, this is why you are unable to create a new version at the moment.

After approx 18 days "In Review", my app was approved by Apple.

Unfortunately, they have not sent any reason for delaying it. So, it seems like a bug at apple side that automatically keeps the app "In Review" and after you contact support and ask them daily about the status, they finally approve it.

Not sure, what can be the issue but i finally got it approved by apple after 18 days
As I told you, rejecting app on your side creates a big delay. I don't know why, but it seems the app goes into a special review queue, much slower (may be the queue of "problematic apps" that require human review.

Don't forget to close the thread.
