macOS Big Sur Beta 11.3 Popping sound issue came back

Anyone else experienced the piping sounds when scrolling through a video (QuickTime, VLC Player, Safari, etc)

How they will fix it again.
Hi!

Im having the exact same issue when fast forwarding and scolling through videos, mostly I'd say it happens on youtube but sometimes audio can start crackling in logic pro when changing instruments. And it really got me woried since it happens a lot since 11.3 beta. I hope they fix this!
Just updated to 11.3 and I'm having crackling noises so far only when using Youtube, but it is very annoying. No problem with previous versions.
I'm having a similar issue. Ever since the Big Sur update, I have a crackling sound in my speakers. So frustrating.
I have the same problem (on released version not beta) on Apple Music. Restarting coreaudiod helps. Either find it in Activity Monitor and force quit (it will immediately restart itself, fixing the problem), or type the following command into Terminal:

Code Block
sudo killall -9 coreaudiod

(You will need to type your password, just type it even if it doesn't show the ***'s). Tap enter and it will restart audio daemon. I know it's not a true solution, but until an update is available this is the quickest fix to get it working other than restarting your Mac.
Same issue here, 11.3 final release.
Strong popping and clicking from Macbook Pro 16 speakers.
Restarting core audio as above fixed it. Not sure if fix is permanent.
I had this in Catalina, with Big Sur it was gone.
Now with the latest update 11.3 these annoying issues came back.
  • klicking in youtube when starting new videos

  • klicking when skipping or closing videos in IINA or Elmedia Player

  • klicking when closing videos in VNC

sudo killall -9 coreaudiod
does not solve it, not temporarily, and not permanently
Just updated to Big Sur 11.3.1 and the popping noise is still there, (16inch MBP) very frustrating as it was resolved before 11.3 update.
Had this issue waaaaay back when I got my MBP 16 1.5 years ago, but it has been fixed since then. Now with 11.3.1 it's back.. Mostly when I change video in Youtube or close the tab w audio playing.

The bottom line is, it's back... Apple, please fix.
Got the same issue on Big Sur 11.3.1

terminal - sudo killall -9 coreaudiod doesn't worked for me!

very frustrated ! if anyone have a solution ?

Please help
I totally lost audio after upgrading to 11.3.1. Rolled-back to 11.2.3 and regained audio, but lost sync on Music, Notes with all other Apple devices. Really just a hassle at this point.
Got same issue..updated to 11.3.1 and I'm having crackling noises so far when using youtube, music, quick time player and movies. No issues with previous versions.
terminal - sudo killall -9 coreaudiod also doesn't worked for me.
Please help
This is f***ing ridiculous.

🤯
The issue is still here apparently, after the 11.4 update.

I have never had this audio issue on my older mac computers. Now this is a big problem on my brand new iMAC with BigSur. I am currently updating to ver. 11.4 but it doesn't seem to solve the problem based on the comment above.

The "sudo killall -9 coreaudiod" command does NOT work for me.

This issue is extremely frustrating... Hope Apple fixes this bug ASAP. Or if anyone has some solution to audio clipping/popping issue on BigSur OS, please help.

Update not found The requested version of macOS is not available.
