Ipad os 14.5 bug - magic keyboard shift key broken

Anyone else find that since the 14.5 ipad os beta rolled out that the shift key on their apple magic keyboard stopped working?

Driving me nuts because I have to take my ipad off of the keyboard to add any shift key functions to my text and use the on screen keyboard.

There has been a second 14.5 beta release that i hoped would fix it but so far, no good.

Really no excuse to release a beta, let alone a second beta, release that doesn’t fully support Apple’s own accessories.

yes, I’m experiencing the same problem even as I’m typing this response. i press shift to add a capital letter and it does not work. the on screen keyboard shift works, but not the magic keyboard.

yes, same issue. keyboard shift and caps lock are non functional.

Same issue here, in addition the cmd, control and option keys are not working for me.

Same issue here. Caps lock, shift function, cmd functionsm control functions. Everything has stopped working. Simple shortcuts are no longer working. Unable to utilize most of the keyboard functionality because of 14.5 beta.

yes, same problems also here in Germany, even worse: the GERMAN magic keyboard version does not work and it seems it is not anymore possible to change to any international keyboard! for the moment it's not possibile to use the iPad anymore. terrible experience.

I also have the same problem switching between languages on my iPad with magic keyboard.
Switching works fine on on-screen keyboard, but not on an external (physical) keyboard.
Also on iPadOS 14.5 beta….. Apple, this ain’t measuring up to your quality control expectation!

not jus magic keyboard happening with my logitech mx keys connected via bt and zagg slim keyboard ... works with mac pro and with ipad pro 11 with old os perfectly but ipad 12.9 with ipados 14.5 caps not functioning. changing launguage is issue aswell. very frustrating ...

I have the same problem. My keyboard disconnects for a long time and no key works. Rebooting sometimes works but it happens again. I'm with beta 14.5
