I have a USB 3.0 GigabitLan and i have been using it perfectly with Sierra. However, After updating to Big SUr, it stopped working.
I downloaded and installed the new driver for the LAN V2.0 from asix.com.tw/en/product/USBEthernet/Super-SpeedUSBEthernet/AX88179?utmsource=ASIX.Youtube&utmmedium=video&utm_campaign=ASIX but it is still not working

Did disable system integrity protection (SIP) prior to installing the extension/driver?

Use the solution of @Gormo, worked for me in AX88179 UGreen ethernet dockstation.
