Big Sur does not print properly, any way to improve it?

Recently, I upgrade my MacBook Pro OS to Big Sur. It appears that with Big Sur, pdf file cannot be printed properly. For example, it only gives the frames of tables in the file while leave all others blank. Is there any way to solve this problem?
(By the way, I have deleted the existing links and added a new link for the printer. But it does not work.)
I notice that others are facing similar problems when printing Microsoft Word files.
Same issue here. The print dialog box doesn't even come up in word. Great testing of Big Sur Apple.
i ve same problem too. need update asap!
Same problem here: printing pdf's and from MS Word only prints a few lines and frames; no text visible.
Workaround: screen capture the page that needs to be printed, and print the resulting bitmap. Obviously with a waste of resolution and time. Needs to be fixed urgently.
I'm experiencing the same problem :-/
Bug in Big Sur?
Same problem!
What to do?

I recently updated my MacBook Pro early 2015 model to Big Sur 11.0.1 and when I try to print a word document nothing happens, no dialog box comes up with print options. Tried multiple times. No change. Apple needs to fix the issue asap.
Same here. Can't print from Word. Excel and PDF produce errors. Printing e-mails from Gmail are working.
But this really is a problem.
Change your printing settings to use Air Print
Same here... No text - tried a ton of options, but nothing works.
Same here also. Print from PDF only outputs graphic elements. A word document only prints the lines from the underlined text... It's as if the link to printing fonts is broken...

Little update:
Just found out that it's the printer drivers that need to be updated. Just did so and now all text is printing.
Same here. If the text within a pdf has been converted to curves it prints fine, but the minute it still exists as a font the text is omitted from the print.
Same issue here as of 12/16/2020
Sam issue.
Solved: Installed new printer drivers

My older Canon MF4370dn laser printer stopped printing text, only graphics would print when I upgraded to Big Sur.

This was true printing from Word, Preview, and Adobe Acrobat. A temporary solution when printing from Acrobat was to change the advanced setting to "print as image" so that is printed text as a graphic.

I downloaded and installed new drivers from the Canon website dated December 2020, and the problem is completely fixed.
Solution: Install new printer drivers

I updated my Canon printer by going to the Canon website. I had to select my printer and select my OS.

At first I thought the update didn't exist, as the Canon site said there was no update for my printer with my OS. It should have said that I hadn't selected an OS. (I didn't see that I had to make a selection.) Once I selected my OS, a menu of drivers appeared.

No problem after installation.
