I have never been able to apply for a developer account

On September 29, 2020, I tried to apply for a company developer account. So after applying for a new apple id, and then downloading the Developer APP as required, I successfully logged in to the Developer APP, filled in the real personal information, and passed the video verification. Then, after clicking "register now", an error is displayed: "Contact us to continue the process. There may be a problem with your account, which needs to be resolved before the registration process can continue. Please contact Apple Developer Support.

So I contacted Support on the Developer APP and got a call back. They said to deal with my problem as soon as possible.
But to this day, it is still unable to proceed to the next step. Every time I clicked the register button, I was prompted with the same error message above.

What should I do?

Inside or outside the US?

Inside...it's just been a few days, and if it was going to happen hop/skip it would be done by now. Telling you ASAP is just a way to get you off a support call so they can move on to the next case.

Outside, keep in mind on average it takes 2 weeks, but there are tons of people been waiting so long they've apparently given up.

Otherwise, there isn't anything anyone can do here in devForums other than to suggest being patient.
