Command Line Tools

Not a question, but just informing you all that I've been having issues with install Xcode command line tools (just updated to beta 7 and having the same issue).

Code Block
xcode-select --install

This command keeps telling me that the software is unavailable. In case any of you are having this issue, go to:

https://developer.apple.com/download/more/

There is a link there to download the command line tools. Happy coding!

There is no Command Line Toolls available for Xcode 12.2 beta on https://developer.apple.com/download/more/ or via
"xcode-select --install".

Could someone from Apple please explain what's going on.

Visual Studio / XCode problem:

I found that having installed the command line tools using "xcode-select --install" that my Xamarin.iOS project in Visual Studio kept showing "Xcode is not currently installed or could not be found".

After much ado, I discovered in Xcode > Preferences > Locations > Command Line Tools, that the drop down was blank.

When I selected the drop down, the Command line Tools that were just installed were available, and when I selected that and rebooted Visual Studio, that the error message went away.

Hope it helps.

thank you,very good
