AppClip error unable to read property list

I'm trying to add an App Clip to my iOS app. When I add a Target of type AppClip, in Xcode 12, and try to run the Hello World App Clip, I get the "unable to read property list from file: <path to Appclip plist file>

Is there another way to add an AppClip?

Do others get this error as well?

If <key>CFBundleDisplayName</key>
has a <string>Dog Disc & Wind</string>
which contains an & ....

The info.plist file fails to open in Xcode with error: Failed to open property list: Encountered unknown ampersand-escape sequence

Workaround: edit the info.plist with TextEdit to remove the &
