I've got a brand new iMac and I loaded Big Sur beta on to it and it seemed to work fine for a while. Now it is crashing about every 30 seconds after booting up. I've tried every conceivable fix I can think of and then some. I've attempted to reinstall Catalina but the install program can't find the internal hard drive. The icon does not show up. I'm hoping an update will solve the issue, however, today I reinstalled Big Sur and got the same results. Any ideas?
Big Sur beta...big problems
i also face same problem. i formate my hard drive also. after that i can't install any os.
Sadly the same. Will get to approximately 40% on the load progress after password then just reboot.
look at the thread "Big Sur crash restart loop after update" to get some ideas.
Remember it is BETA.....

Same here. Got a 3 months old MacBook Pro 13" with 4 tb hdd and 32 gig ram that's completely unusable. It's been boot looping 3 days now.
Worst part is that Apple can't even set up a service appointment to get it fixed. Talked to them several times on the phone now and every time they try to set it up they receive an error they've never seen before. Got to talk to a senior advisor who reported the bug and he will reach out to me once he hears back.
To be honest I'm disappointed on how this is handled. It shouldn't be this difficult to get a computer fixed.

I just managed to fix my laptop. Nothing worked. Tried everything. But now the laptop is working again and I'm actually writing this post from the formerly broken laptop.
The solution was to restore the T2 chip. It's fairly easy, but requires you to have another computer with a T2 chip and a USB-C -> USB-C cable.
Here's a tutorial on how it's done: 💩://mrmacintosh.com/how-to-restore-bridgeos-on-a-t2-mac-how-to-put-a-mac-into-dfu-mode/
(Replace the chocolate ice cream (or ****, depending on your preference) with http and you'll have a link to a tutorial. Had to do this because I'm not allowed to post links here. 🤷♂️)

Same happened to me with a 2020 MacBook Pro that was 5 weeks old. Apple told me it fried the motherboard, luckily I bought it at Costco and just returned it. This is crazy that this has happened to this many people I've never had an issue with any BETA like this.
I have a brand new MacBook Pro. 13 inch. I booted up, screen was nuts. Restarted and it froze. Have not been able to do a thing since. Restarted 3 times. Same thing. Help. It’s a brand new computer with all my info
It may be too basic, however checking if you tried reverting to your Time Machine backup to a pre-Bug Sur OS version on your machine?
Has Apple really completed all of the necessary testing for Big Sur? Many of us are experiencing difficulty with the external monitor drivers functioning properly and now the shortcuts are inoperable. Can someone help provide me with a workaround to increase my love of the new operating system? I have a hard time believing Apple released something into production without any smoke test of these paramount features.
Apple,Big Sur beta can be very unstable because its a beta Apple is still working on it.
