Trackpad click not working
The trackpad does not physically click.
I had an issue with my Macbook Pro M1 (2020) trackpad where clicking it didn't provide the usual tactile feedback.
Disconnecting the battery, disassembling the trackpad, removing dust, and then reassembling everything fixed the problem for me.
In most cases, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery might be enough. If not, cleaning the trackpad should resolve the issue. If neither works, then a trackpad replacement might be necessary.
Important note: Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery on a Macbook Pro requires technical expertise. If you're uncomfortable doing this yourself, it's best to seek professional help from Apple or a certified repair service provider. They can ensure the process is done safely and without damaging your device.
I had a similar problem. My fix was the pointer precision. I had it on high. I think that setting is for drawing with a pencil or something. Makes it almost impossible to click on something like a word or link. Good luck.
