Unable to submit app for review (Error with screenshot)

Found the problem!
in one of the localizations (store text and screenshots for another language),
there was an extra empty screenshot (an image place holder without an image) - don't know why.
so i just removed it and was able to submit.

The issue I had is I used Gimp to resize the images. I was prompted to change the color profile to the Gimp specific RGB profile. At first I converted. This caused my error. I reopened the images and kept the standard RGB color profile and the error message went away.

Hi, I had the same issue. I fixed it by finding one corrupted image which had no preview. It shows in the list of screenshots as an empty placeholder. Be sure to look closely at all languages and screen sizes in the media browser. You'll need to delete it and re-upload the bad image. @apple there is something wonky in your upload manager that occasionally corrupts the files. It would be helpful if the error message could include the language and screen size to help isolate it. For our app we have 18 languages and 5 screen sizes per language so quite a lot to review to find the bad image.

fixed this issue for me. there was a few old screenshots that were loaded under different sizes that don't show up in the 'App Preview and Screenshots' section. I had to go to 'Media Manager' and go through each of the sizes (they are collapsed by default) so I had to expand them to see the other screenshots. deleted them and was able to submit.

Would be nice if there were more descriptive error messages as it appears everyone is getting the same error message for a multitude of different issues. wasted 2 days on this...

I had the same problem whenn trying to submit my app for review but in my case I tried to submit my app for review after I uploaded the images. when I got the error, I only refreshed the page and submitted again and it worked

I had the same problem. After deep checking, notice that have a gray shape in the section "App for iMessage". We need to check not only in the Previews section, but the whole page.
