Hi everyone

I've updated an iPhone 6S to iOS 14 Beta 4 and after that, Touch ID got disabled. Whenever I try to set it up, a message saying “FAILED - Unable to activate Touch ID on this iPhone". Even i have tried downgrade ios to the 13.5.1 and done a full reset but problem is still on the same.
What should I do..? Please suggest..

I've got the same issue after updating my 6s to ios 14.0.1 stable. Hopefully the next update will resolve this annoying issue.

Touch ID on my iPad (model A1822) is also not working anymore after installing iOS 14.0.1. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also dead touch ID. iPhone 6s, iOS14.0.1. Issue didn't occur immediately after install. Approx 1 week later, phone became unresponsive and slow, restarted phone and Touch ID no longer works at all. Cannot scan any finger prints, no error message given.

Update. Touch ID working again. Seems to be an intermittent issue. Phone was low on battery when fault originally occurred.

i uodated my iphone 6s to IOS 14.0.1. started of being very unstable and laggy after a few days touch id stopped working from time to time. it works randomly then shuts off completely. if there is an issue pls reply asap as this is my daily device.

I have exactly the same problem with bakethejakecake on my iphone 6s. Updated to ios 14.1 still does not solve the problem. Reset to factory still give the same problem

mine also, it seems like updates destroying our handsets especially the old iPhone.
I was using 6s Plus
from ios12 to ios13, home button not working after the update
from ios13 to ios14, I was looking forward to fix the issue but unfortunately after the update the touch id did not work anymore

I did some troubleshooting but the issues were not resolved...

Same thing happened to me today on my 6s, although it wasn't the beta.
I jumped from IOS 13.6 to 14.2 and just like that, no more Touch-ID

I've replaced the screen a few times, the battery twice and possibly the proxy/facetime camera so I don't know if those repairs have anything to do with it.
