Can Smart App Banner works with WKWebView

Say an app display another app clip's invocation url via WKWebview and the page added the Smart App Banner required meta tag, can this page invoke corresponding App Clip card?

No. The Smart App Banner is only shown in Safari and Safari View Controller. A customer needs to tap the Open button on the Smart App Banner to bring up the App Clip card.

In my iOS 14.2 Simulator the Smart App Banner is shown in a WKWebview. I'm now looking for ways to suppress it.
