When are App Clips ready to be used?

Question

I am keen to develop some app clips for my latest apps. The API seems ready, but the QR code is not going to be released till a few months time.

My question is when will App Clips be publishable on the App Store? Do we have to wait till QR codes become public too, or can we still use them using NFC or Maps only.

Hi @lemonspike,

Today, you can debug and implement an app clip locally as described in the documentation and sessions. When TestFlight and App Store Connect get support for app clips later this year, you'll be able to invoke an app clip from NFC, QR codes, Maps. When app clip codes become available, it will be an additional invocation method.
