Anyone experiencing issues with IOS 14 and wifi connectivity?
IOS 14 WiFi
Just downloaded 14.1. Seems my spectrum wireless router, which has two signals, 2G and 5G, only the 5G signal works. I’m using an iPad. The 2G signal works on my iPhone and TV.
Any thoughts?

I updated to IOS14 a few days ago and have had no problems, then yesterday updated to iOS 14.1 and my phone is completely messed up.
I cannot connect to any Wi-Fi (have tried several), my WhatsApp’s won’t use my phone data (although all my other apps do) which means that I am getting no messages.
my phone is lagging and slow and it won’t let me download any new apps!
I have never had problems like this ever before

My phone automatically uploaded to IOS 14.1 last night and now my phone can’t connect to wifi anymore. All my other devices can connect to the wifi though. I tired to reboot the router and reset my network, but non of them worked. I thought it was just me... I’m still using my data right now, don’t know how I can fix it...
I have an iPad Air 3rd Gen and an iPhone 11 that had issues after updating to iOS 14.1.
After several attempts to Join my network, I received a cryptic message to the effect that iOS didn't like being assigned a static IP address. This didn't make sense as I have a lot of iOS devices on my network and they are all assigned static IP addresses.
I was using MAC Filtering on my router to whitelist the devices that could log in so I checked the MAC addresses on the problematic devices against those in the whitelist and everything matched. Out of frustration, I disabled MAC Filtering on my router, an Viola! All the devices where able to Join!
My router is a Linksys EA9500.
Hope this helps.

Since upgrading to iOS 14.1 on both my iPhone 8 and iPad I cannot connect to 5ghz WiFi on either device.
Laptop and android connects fine and signal is good. My daughters iPhone SE 2020 is still on iOS 14 and connects fine.
Any thoughts?

Yes! Same problem as others have stated. Update occurred last night, and ipad connection problem this morning. On another ipad (not updated) The Internet connection works fine ... as do other devices. The updated ipad also has Verizon data services, which have been similarly affected... so not strictly a WiFi network problem. Connection problem seems to occur with apps other than web browsers (using safari and chome). After rebooting and then resetting network settings the problem remained. I noticed in settings that the VPN App thru netgear, would continually try, unsuccessfully, to Connect.
Someone on this forum suggested disable VPN...
YES! That solved the problem for me. It seems my choice was to have an active internet connection... or a nonfunctional VPN and no connection. Thanks, and hope this works for you.

Even I am facing this problem since updating to ios 14, I came to know that the issue is in bluetooth, if bluetooth is on wifi doesn't work, so if I stop bluetooth from control center or from settings wifi starts working properly.
Hope apple fixes this issue soon.
I'm using an iphone 7 plus.

APPLE - fix the WiFi problem. There are no “voila” moments here. The whole customer base is upset - and no, we are not a “community” we are your customers. Soon we will not be your customers if you continue your manipulative and sloppy hijinks. Companies that create something (like the *surprise* over night 14 update) that makes their product not work are either arrogant or foolish or both. All iPhones and appletvs that were forced to update are NOT CONNECTING. Yes, I have tried everything listed; all the “hacks” - the next thing I will try is androids for Christmas.
For those having issues, turn off Mac Filtering on your router or turn off Private Address on your IOS 14 device. You can't use both at the same time or you're asking for potential issues.
I am fed up and super frustrated!!! Wifi is connected but not working on my device at all since 14.1 was installed! Tried all suggested solutions in all the posts and NOTHING worked!!! Please find a solution pleaaaase

IOS 14.1 installed last night. The wifi on My iphone 11 is buggy; browsers are slow and timing out. No connection to app store. Chromecast connectivity slow and buggy.
In short, this update has incapacitated my less than 3 month old phone. I'd appreciate any steers on this.

Im having the same issue till date, the internet connectivity lost anonymously both in Data and WiFi. This thing happened after the update of iOS 14, and it currently updated to iOS 14.1 though the issue exists. Need solutions. Apple respond this fixing!!!
This worked for me, and here are the steps I took that might work for you:
1) Log into your modem/router. I've a NetGear (modem+router in one), so after logging in, go to the Advanced tab > Access Control. (This is where I saw my phone was blocked.)
2) At the very bottom of this page, there is a drop-down arrow next to "View list of blocked devices not currently connected to the network." (It may be called a Blacklist instead on your device.) In there, delete your phone from this list.
3) Then on your iPhone, go to Settings > General > then scroll to the bottom for Reset. Then hit Reset Network Settings, allow your device to reset, and reconnect to your wifi network(s). Back in NetGear, you should see that it's no longer blocked.
Hope this helps!

WHAT THE ACTUAL F, APPLE!
I updated my daughter's iPhone 7 to 14.0.1...and all the carrier settings failed...so I updated to 14.1...now it restarts, constantly! I made an appointment to have it reviewed at Apple and they sent me to Best Buy...who told me that because the Sim card tray "sticks" they won't send it out for repair - EVEN THOUGH THE PROBLEM IS CONFIRMED TO BE A MANUFACTURER DEFECT WITH THIS MODEL.
