On Intel Macs, it has always been possible to boot other operating systems, including Windows with Bootcamp and Linux. Assuming a proper ARM port of Linux to Apple A-Series SOCs is made, will it be possible to boot Linux directly on the new Apple Silicon Macs?

It's barely possible to boot Linux on amd64 Macs today.

The real question is will Apple keep providing third party official support for BootCamp. And I think the answer to that is no.
