How to set icon for iCloud Storage Management in Settings?

AFAIK, there's no special way to specify an icon for that. Do you use an AppIcon imageset in an asset catalog for the app icons? This is the way I do it in one of my apps and the icon is shown correctly. And that's the only place I've app icons defined.

I do use an AppIcon image set in an asset catalog. The app uses the icon, the shared group container does not. I don't want the shared group container to use the app icon anyway, since the shared group container is going to be shared by multiple apps with different icons. Oddly, I have another shared group container that does not show up at all in Settings when solely accessed by app A, but does show up in Settings and uses app B's icon when app B is installed. And yes, I have verified that app A and app B are indeed accessing the same data within the same shared group container. I see no difference between the two apps in how the container is set up, declared, and used.

I'm afraid there's some apple magic going on which isn't documented very well. I remember having problems in the past, where an old app icon was displayed. This was fixed by apple without any further notice.

BTW: What name is displayed in settings? Does the icon belongs to the appname?

The name comes from the container. For a container named "iCloud.com.company.ContainerName" under "Specify custom containers" in target->Capabilities->iCloud->Containers in Xcode, the "DOCUMENTS & DATA" name is listed as "ContainerName" (which is different from "AppName").
