Normally the process of getting a build from iTunes Connect to Testflight and onto an Internal Tester device is pretty straightforward, but I'm having a bit of confusion this time around. It seems like there's some conflict between the invitation email and the Testflight app.
I'm accustomed to seeing a very prominent "Open in Testflight" or "Install in Testflight" button as part of the invitation email, but now that appears to be gone. I only get a paragraph that says, "To test this app, open TestFlight on your iOS device using iOS 6.0 or later and install the update."
(The word "TestFlight" is a link that takes me to the App Store page for TestFlight.)
When I actually open TestFlight, however, it tells me, "You aren't current testing any apps. To accept an invitation, you must tap the link in the invitation email."
I'm not sure which it's supposed to be, but it seems like the email is indicating that TestFlight should be installing the update, but Testflight is indicating that the update should be installed through the email. Any idea what's going on here?
I've tried a variety of things that were suggested solutions to similar problems, such as disabling then re-enabling the app for testing, restarting the device, reinstalling TestFlight, doing a factory reset on the device, making sure that I'm opening the "link" using iOS' native Mail app and, of course, making sure I'm up-to-date on both iOS and TestFlight.
