Can I upload a new build with same version after Apple's App Review is done?

Hi,

I have uploaded an app build with version 4.2.1, which is reviewd by Apple Review team, and is "Pending for Developer Release".

I want to upload a new build with same version number i.e. 4.2.1, with few changes in the build.

Though I don't want to change the version number to some other or incremented number for the new build, and I don't want to pull down the current reviewed build.

Can I proceed with this approach?

If not, is it compulsory to remove the current build, and then upload the new build with same version?

Or will I have to upload a new build with new version number?

It only needs a new build number. The version number can stay the same.

And If i upload with different version or same version. Do i need 'What’s New in this Version’ text for the same in this case?

I'm pretty sure that previously it was possible to upload a new build for a version as long as the build number was higher than the previous one. Recently, however, I have not been able to do that and have needed to increment the version number.

No, You don't need to bump up your version.

You can submit the with same version number.

We had the same issue yesterday and we were able to submit for review to Apple witht he same version number afrer canceling a developer release of that version.

PS: we just hadto edit screenshots 😟 . which we were not able to do once it went through review. So resubmitting worked 😀
