Badges in App Store app missing

I’m running iPadOS 13.1 beta on my iPad Pro 11 and for the last few beta releases the badge that indicates the number of apps that require updating in the App Store have been missing. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Mistake on my part. I had Automatic updates turned on in the settings app. Once I turned automatic updates off the badges returned.
