This happened to me this morning. I can’t unlock my mac using finger print, but able to using password. However after the unlock, the screen ‘freeze’, mouse is working, I can switch between windows /app using mouse, and drag windows around.. however can’t really click buttons or menus. No keyboard input accepted by application, instead it make ‘invalid key sound’ every time I pressed a key. Cmd-Tab still displaying the “Switcher” to select different application, but it wont switch to the selected application. It could be that I have not disconnect my external display before I put it into sleep before I left office yesterday.
