Just to give a small update. I reinstalled Big Sur and guess what! Now my keyboard and trackpad (!) are not working anymore. I have to use an external mouse and keyboard. The bright side is however that my MacBook is quick compared to how it was. The downside is that this issue is 99% a hardware related issue if I have to believe the apple support guy. Anyways, I always wanted to have a Mac PC as well, so I have to thank apple for that.
