System Preferences -> Display -> HDMI Monitor -> Color -> Calibrate... -> Click through all the dialogs, Done!

Same issue here. It happened when upgrading to Catalina a couple of years ago. The issue disappeared after several upgrades though.
Now it is back again on Big Sur :(
