I have a React Native app in a repo. When I open XCode and select clone an existing project and select the project I wish to work on XCode successfully clones the repo, but then crashes during some setup phase. Re-opening XCode, the project is not in the startup menu but exists in the folder I selected. If I choose open a project or file and select the cloned repo, I get a "XCode can't open" error.

Hey all, I just installed Xcode, I plan to test notifications with a React Native application. I am using Big Sur 11.5.2 and Xcode 13.0. I have attempted multiple different ways to open a file/folder. It doesn't matter if I elect to clone from git repo, or if I try to open existing folder, I cannot open ANY files other than files created with Xcode (Create a new Xcode project option). Why can't I open ANY files or folders? I have retried after restarting my computer and still the same error. No error messages. Not sure if this is a permission issue?

I have 42.84 GB of free space available yet the App Store is not letting me install XCode. Please help.
