Xcode could not open file

Hey all, I just installed Xcode, I plan to test notifications with a React Native application. I am using Big Sur 11.5.2 and Xcode 13.0.

I have attempted multiple different ways to open a file/folder. It doesn't matter if I elect to clone from git repo, or if I try to open existing folder, I cannot open ANY files other than files created with Xcode (Create a new Xcode project option). Why can't I open ANY files or folders?

I have retried after restarting my computer and still the same error. No error messages. Not sure if this is a permission issue?

If you created the Xcode project through React Native, I guess it is the cause of the issue. React Native is not a framework of Apple's and you should better contact to the author of it or find a community site for it.
