Comment on USB-C Accessory with iOS 18
Some additional follow-up: It sounds likely that iOS 17 wasn't drawing power when it should have been with these USB-C connections. The accessory firmware was 3rd party developed so I am getting up to speed with it to supply the best information possible here. Is there some unique flag to set to prevent supplying power as a USB client? Additionally, I can provide our MFi account# and product plan ID if that would help open up some more information. Thanks again, Nick

Thanks for your reply Kevin. The accessory is an intermediary with its own battery that can either be connected to a data source to power the source and pass the data along to the iOS device or to a charging source to charge the accessory battery & the iOS device battery. in the case of charging, we do expect power to be supplied to the iOS device but when the intermediary is passing along data as a client, we do not intend to supply power to the iOS device.
