I have this problem with 2019 16" macbook pro for since some time ago after install an update. I tried nvram and SMC reset but didn't worked. My current version is 12.3. After deleting these files and doing sudo launchctl stop com.apple.audio.coreaudiod && sudo launchctl start com.apple.audio.coreaudiod , the problem seemed to fixed. I deleted without safe mode and I even didn't rebooted. Thanks. Also I had slow wifi problem. It is also seemed to fixed. I don't know if they are related maybe it's a coincidence but looks both issues gone now.
