I reported this over a month ago! Since then installed one more update for macOSx still, having daily crashes!!!!
I paid >$2700 for a laptop + $600 for docs, + $500 for 2 monitors.
Apple support is utterly useless, and CalDigit (maker of my docks) points fingers at apple.
If @apple is reading these forums, at least reply and acknowledge that you are aware of our complaints.
This is unacceptable consumer relations from a premium product company!!!
The setup is causing me nothing but frustration. I already stopped recommending MACs a dev platform.

@Who842 interesting, but not really a solution for me for example.
I don't have fast Wi-Fi at the office, other than guest (that doesn't have access to corporate network). Athough, running some jobs over Hotspot/VPN could be a temporary workaround, unfortunately some of my dev processes, require me to pull gigs of data at a time. My hotspot allowance will be gone in minutes.
Anyways interesting idea, but Apple needs to fix OSX (I'm 99% sure it was caused by 11.3 upgrade. My system was working fine on 11.1 & 11.2 for months before that)
Just my 2C. Same machine same dock ( actually 2 - one at home, one in the office). Same "solution" from apple - reinstall + restore. Didn't work.
They suggested also that I downgrade to 11.2 (which when I DID NOT have problems) and then reinstall all my apps... Which is not a practical solution for me.
Glad it worked for you 🤞🏻
I also have a CalDigit dock (USB-C Pro), but no HDMI ports., just DP. Actually 2 of them (home & office) and my laptop keeps crashing, even if they are not peripheral plugged in. I also borrowed 2 docks from a colleague - Microsoft one & StarTech - same results :(
All started after upgrade to macOS 11.3.1 so I think macOS is the culprit. Upgrading to 11.5.1 haven't resolved the issue yet.
Upgraded to 11.5.1 - issue persists. 😠
