I too wasted hours on this issue, with XCode making it especially hard by not supplying developers with 16.5!

Videos are also impacted in apps using WebKit. Seems to be fixed in 16.6 (beta channel). I wish the changelogs would mention these tweaks!
What's the rationale behind omitting some releases from XCode?
I need to test 16.5 in a Simulator, but it's impossible to get 16.5 to appear as an option:
16.4 didn't have the bug
16.5 has the bug
16.6 (beta) doesn't have the bug
Let me test 16.5!
