Same problem for me for the last 6 months. Connecting a Dell or Belkin USB-C hub with a Dell U2718Q monitor attached (and on) make my MBP 16 2019 crash. Even switching on the Dell sometimes makes the MBP crash. I wasted hours with the Apple support. They even asked me to do a fresh install which I did and again wasted hours.
Update to 11.4 didn't solve the problem.
