Apple ITS have looked at this and say it is an apple iOS bug and have asked us to raise a bug report via the Apple Developer Feedback Assistant service. We have done this. If you are experiencing a similar problem please raise the issue on the Feedback Assistant too - the more they get the more likely they are to pay attention
