Was just watching the Introducing iPad Apps for Mac. About 3/4 through, there is a slide that states HomeKit is not supported in UIKitForMac apps. Needless to say, my jaw dropped to the floor. The Home app was the very first app ported from iOS, and was so important that it was part of 10.14, the first exemplar of this whole effort. This functionality is clearly very core to iOS and used by many apps. What is the reasoning/expectation/outlook on this topic? Or perhaps I misinterpreted? Presumably one could distribute outside the Mac App Store, link to the HomeKit framework that is already there, and possibly get some hack working in the meantime, but surely this will need to be fixed in a point release if it is not present in the 10.15 GM?
