I suggest to wait for a few days/weeks before being sure that's the fix.
We had very similar answer by installing Boom software from Global Delight https://www.globaldelight.com/
Many people thought that this fixed the problem, but in the end it did not.
This said, I will try your suggestion to see :)
Many of us have already tested Boom2, and the problem, even if it seems delayed, is still present.
Same for me.
Apple is no more what I expected from them.
it temporarily solves the problem it will come back.
you will tell us ... please.
What can we do ?
genius bar says hardware is ok, and doesn’t really care about the issue. Only suggesting to reinstall macOS
This is a very bad news
Thanks for sharing. It really looks one of the most known solution but unfortunately it's a temporarily fix. Cracking still there after some hours.
Hi Milos23, Same for me.
Thanks Milos23. Will keep everyone posted here in a few days to say what is my personal experience after this change.
I have zipped as backup /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/MSTeamsAudioDevice.driver , then I deleted the folder.
I was surprised that I was allowed to, as process is still running (and I finally have been able to close it manually from the monitor activity)
That's it ? :)
Hi, Would you kindly accept to share wuth us a very short tuto to explain ?
Or is it as simple as deleteing /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/MSTeamsAudioDevice.driver ?
thanks
I have a real improvement with the Boom 3D drivers (which by pure fantasy I bought for 12€ with the upcoming summer promo).
That being said, it doesn't fix the situation 100%, but the difference is still noticeable.
It's a solution I'll keep until the next MacOS version (Ventura?) by the end of September I guess.
Hi, from Paris too
It has already been mentioned here that intel applications can cause memory problems (especially when 16GB Ram).
Your suggestion is even more interesting ! so big thanks for your share.
Besides, these 3 processes are irreducible:
Core Audio Driver (MSTeamsAudioDevice.driver)
Core Audio Driver (Speaker Audio Recorder.driver)
CarbonComponentScannerXPC
But I can't find any trace of the Magnet application on my side (in the list of process, I’ve nothing called « magnet »
