Nor on computer folders or most exchange emails so it may be New but it’s half baked !

Something is stopping outlook accessing the spotlight search functionality since 12.1 RC and Final version. From my discussions with outlook support they are aware of the issue. New Outlook search works. different way , not utilising Spotlight for searching. However New outlook is not workable for many parties given its limitations currently.

And New outlook doesn't support "On computer" folders either.

Best solution I have found is is to use the native spotlight search on Mac which will show the email messages as well as others items . Its not perfect but does assisting finding things until this issue is resolved. New Outlook is not an option for most parties. The search in New Outlook apparently works independently of spotlight and that is whit it works still. Pity new Outlook has such limited functionality in terms of email account types , on computer folders etc.

That certainly doesn't help, many of us have tried all the "normal" remedies . It is a software fix that is required , I submit on Apple's side given this happened with the last OS update, that is denying a link from the MS Outlook search from accessing the Spotlight functionality as the Mac version of Outlook (apart from the useless New Outlook) relies on Spotlight for search functionality I believe.

Tried that yesterday , with no luck at all.

New Outlook is not workable for people that have exchange accounts as that functionality is not as yet in place - strangely enough
