This helped me a lot. I found out that in all of my build configurations, I missed adding App Groups. Xcode was showing it on the 'All' tab, and I thought everything was fine. However, I didn't notice the braces indicating the build configurations to which the capability is applied.
Always check all build configuration settings manually.
