I found the same issue also on iPad when in split screen and on macOS Catalyst.
As a result, the close button and the compass are not displayed on the top right side anymore.
And thus the user is trapped in full-screen mode and cannot exit Look Around.
The user can then only hard quit the app and has to restart the app. The problem is always reproducible.
This is a critical bug that should be fixed quickly.
The problem also occurs under Mac Catalyst.
I just filed another bug report: FB11506741

What is the situation in iOS 15.3 beta 1? Is it now fixed?
The issue is still not fixed in iOS 15.2 final. :(
The bug unfortunately still occurs with iOS 15.2 beta 4 for me.
How does it look for the others?
Philips Hue reported the same issue yesterday on their Hue blog:
https://hueblog.com/2021/11/30/ios-15-causes-geofencing-problems-with-philips-hue/
And still not fixed in iOS 15.2 beta 3.
Still not fixed in iOS 15.2 beta 2.
I have the same issue. Please file a bug report!
Can anyone already say something about iOS 15.2 beta 2? Is it fixed or still unfixed?
Did you already file a bug report via Feedback app to Apple?
I have the same issue.
There seem to be 3 constellations:
users are not affected by the problem at all (best case).
the delivery of events in the background is unreliable compared to iOS 14.
no events are delivered in the background (worst case).
It looks like this is a bug in the context of the new Focus Mode of iOS 15 and/or the App Switcher.
I have the same issue and it is not yet fixed in iOS 15.1.
Seems to be fixed since iOS 14 beta 8. Right?
In my opinion this is a bug that is still present in iOS 14 beta 6.
Please submit a bug report to Apple, so it can be fixed asap.

Same problem. I would expect the same look as in the Maps app when you click on the + button. How did Apple implement that?
