I've removed the Soundflower kext and my issues with the com.apple.firehose.io-wl panics seems to be solved...

Same here, iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017), 3,8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 24 GB 2400 MHz DDR4, Fusion Drive.
This started on Catalina for me and continuous on Big Sur. Freezes up and panics after few minutes. Happens when in Safari (I have tons of tabs), but also when dragging & dropping in the finder, and even during the night when the computer sleeps.
I did a clean Big Sur install, not by choice but my HDD part of the Fusion Drive happened to die recently. I thought the panics were related to that but new HDD drive and fresh Big Sur install (with migration assistant from backup for files & settings but fresh apps) and the problem persists and possibly even worse. Anyone else has a fusion drive? I noticed in DriveDX that the SSD part of the drive is also aging to 20% of lifetime. And since everyone seems to be on similar hardware I'm wondering if it has to do with Fusion Drive.
