In my case nothing shows up from pull down spotlight, recent apps, the app drawer search, recent contacts when hitting the share button and recent apps based on location. It just defaults to the same view everytime it breaks. After a device restart it seems to last a day or so before it breaks at most and then I have to reboot again to get it to work. (pre 17.1)
