I am reluctant to pay for a software upgrade for my car in order to upgrade to a new iPhone, especially when miguki above says it did not work for him. I was very satisfied with my iPhone XS, maybe I'll; just take my iPhone 12 back to AT&T and buy a used iPhone XS.
