It was practical and useful for me to increment an unreleased software version by .1 and upload as a quick workaround so that I could update the build for TestFlight internal testing on a short timeline.
Therefore, it may also be practical and useful for someone other than you.
Seeing other more helpful recent comments on this issue, I would instead now recommend using Transporter as the workaround.
