Hi,my Macbook Pro 2017 (A1708) ran into an Kernel Panic when processing the update from 10.15.5B1 to 10.15.5B3. I do not know why, or when it happend, since I got my Macbook unsupervisored during the update, since ever. In the morning I wanted to make use of the updated Macbook, but it prompted me for firmware password. - Oh oh. Okay. - Entered, and I got welcomed with my start devices (like Option-Key on Startup), but no entrys were visible. So I shut down the macbook, and rebooted again. From now it welcomes me with flashing '?-Folder'. Short googling confirms me kernel panic and bricked devices. Luckily I am not bricked, but my SSD becomes read only from now. Every attempt to wipe it will result in "Could not open device". I had to reinstall macOS on external HDD storage to get my Macbook revived. I am also currently writing these lines with this setup. I do admit that Apple will not care about the crashed SSD, since I am usinng an Beta OS, but then I want to make sure this issue is adressed correctly and will be fixed for the mass on Retail Release. I also already ordered some spare SSD for exchange, and could be send in the broken one. Since it got frozen from the state it got crashed, the chances are good to catch the issue. What can I do now? From trying to survive the SSD to adress this issue to the correct people at apple, since it is quite URGENT. Thanks for all!
