I know it's a little late - the issue is a problem with the power management and something flipping between modes. When I took my laptop in for this issue it turned out the battery was super weak and they ended doing a replacement - problem resolved. It's been about 6 months and the problem is resurfacing so thinking of taking it back in again. Haven't found an option to turn off power management for the audio drivers.
