Is it possible to use and retrieve hash encryption in a jpeg image on the current pass templates?

Is it possible to use steganography to supply the pass with a jpeg image which has an encrypted element hidden within it, that when the pass is scanned, the party scanning the pass could retrieve the encrypted message attached to the jpeg with the appropriate private key for decryption.

Sure — you could composite a jpeg image with a QR code containing whatever info/message you want.

If you’re trying to prevent counterfeitting or something, this really doesn’t work though ... you have to assume the reading party will eventually be able to locate your “hidden” data and then simply create their own composite.
