Crash after FV2 login • 10.13.2 b5 • Decryption paused

Hi,

How do you resume decryption of an APFS volume that is "paused" while decrypting?

I updated my 2015 Retina MacBook Pro to High Sierra 10.13.1. The developer profile was still installed and my computer updated to 10.13.2b5 automatically. I rebooted, and now I can't get past the FileVault 2 login screen—the computer just crashes hard. No progress bar.

In Recovery Mode, I can unlock the disk just fine from Disk Utility or Terminal. I ran "diskutil apfs decryptVolume /dev/disk2s1" and entered my password. Decryption started and got to about 15% before I rebooted the Mac. The FV2 login screen still appears. The computer still crashes.

Back in Recovery Mode, diskutil shows that the decryption is "paused." There is no obvious way to resume it.

I have a Time Machine backup that is about a week old and was taken prior to upgrading to High Sierra. No Time Machine backup after upgrading.
