Does Watch OS 2 have access to the CoreBluetooth Framework?

I wanted to develop a standalone watch os 2 application that will communicate directly to a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Device.

Thanks!

No, not currently.

No, not currently.

Is this not possible, because we are currently dealing with beta SW?

Will the release vesrion of watch OS 2.0 support this? I asked a similar question during during WWDC2015 lab sessions to a few engineers and they told me, that the relevant parts of the BLE stack are implemented in the watch OS 2.0.

The Core Bluetooth framework isn't part of the Watch SDK. To leverage bluetooth in your app, you'll need to use your parent iPhone appllication.

OK. I will file a feature request.

Thanks

I essentially want to display sensor readings, such as current room temperature and humidity from BLE devices. I think this could be done with HomeKit qualified equipment. Would that be possible? E.g walk into a room, leaving your phone in an other room or on an other level, take a look on the watch to get sensor readings, eventually adjust the temperature or air conditioning. HomeKit seemed to be such an overkill for relatively simple sensor readings.
