Recently, I have developed a Mac app to update the firmware of our product via USB Hid.Now, my boss wants me to implement this updating function on ios platform, especially on iPad.Unlucky, I have no idea about that.Could you give me some advice and some relevant keyword? thank you in advance!
If you post an explanation of what your OS X application did, I'm sure someone would be happy to explain whether the same technique will work on iOS. Do keep in mind that Developer applications don't have the same access to the Bluetooth interface on iOS as they do on OS X.
Also please be aware that software consultants start at $20 to $40 per hour.
I've never seen a firmware update via iOS.
The basic hurdle is that USB on iOS is not the same animal you've come to learn and love on the desktop. USB is much more closed in iOS, beginning with the lack of a similar data thruput.
