Looking for vids that support PIP screen

Can't yet find any; even tried Safari Browser; is this feature not yet implemented?

Per this link at MacNN http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/picture-in-picture.1977265/#post-23012735

double right click on the video to get the MacOS context menu to pop up and you can select the picture in picture option.

I couldn't find a working one either. Maybe it's not yet integrated or there are hardware limitations. First gen retina here.

Videos on the Vimeo website will do it...I'm assuming it has to do with how the webpage implements the video itelf. Even Apple's Keynote page doesn't have the function, nor does YouTube. Here's a random vid from Vimeo that does it:

Once you start playing it, you'll see the PIP button in the lower right.

I posted a reply but included a link so it's "Currently being moderated"

Videos on the Vimeo site will have the PIP button once you click play...and it does work on a 1st gen Retina. I have a mid-2012 rMBP and it functions fine.

Thanks, right, vimeo works. Seems like the sides have to support it somehow. I hope it gets a wider aplication, like for all video-content no matter the codec or source. And hopefully it's not limited to online source and rather supports media-apps like iTunes, Quicktime, VLC or any other.

The WWDC videos support PIP 🙂

Look no further than Apple's trailers site: http://trailers.apple.com

Plenty of variety to try out.

apparently my first post is still being moderated, but if you double right click on video windows so you get the macOS context menu you'll see the PIP option. most video players override that macOS menu with their own when you right click once, so double right click twice.

Nice...it does indeed worth with YouTube videos this way. Nice.
