Brightness adjustment bug

Anyone experienced an issue with their screen brightness getting stuck? This happens to me every time my iMac comes back from sleep mode. When I try to make an adjustment, the OS starts to freeze up for a minute. The only way around this issue is to reboot. I am running beta 8.
